There will always be a class clown, but a teacher that is out of the ordinary is sometimes hard to find.
There are different teachers with different personalities, who do very weird and funny things, according to interviews.
Some teachers are clumsy, according to Shanel Sinclair, a child development major, said “He (the instructor) would lean on the blackboard while he was lecturing with yellow chalk on the back of his shirt.”
Teachers tend to get excited when they are about to go over their favorite subject.
While Erica Cabrera, a psychology/film major, was in health class, the teacher introduced the sexual intercourse chapter by “humping” the desk.
“My teacher humped a desk,” she said. “No, I’m serious, she did.”
Everybody has their own experiences with teachers – some funny and some serious.
Brandon Nebitt, an art major, said, “This teacher got mad at me because I raised my hand while he was talking. I think it was because he didn’t like me,” but Nebitt added, “I talk a lot.”
Some students said their teachers aren’t animated. “Most of my teachers are pretty serious,” said Daniel Maldonado, computer science major.
Andres Estrada, engineering major, also has serious teachers that don’t do anything out of the ordinary except maybe be late for class.
Israel Chavez, physical therapist major, said, “Last semester I had an instructor who would make funny faces out of nowhere, very random.”
Chavez believes that it is good to have a unique teacher. “When you have a unique teacher, you feel more relaxed. It makes the class fun and interesting. It’s good to have a teacher that mixes it up a bit.”
