Students from throughout Kern County gathered on the Bakersfield College campus last week to participate in High School Journalism Day.
High School Journalism Day recognizes students for their hard work on high school newspapers. The annual event gives students the opportunity to test their skills on deadline during a variety of writing and photo competitions, which are then judged by Californian staffers.
