n Fine dining on Bakersfield College campus? The Renegade Room offers a diverse menu, a fun atmosphere, and most of all delicious food.

The Renegade Room Restaurant is not your typical eatery found on the Bakersfield College campus.
It is inspired much by places that pride themselves on peaceful atmosphere, good service and delicious food.
Even though the restaurant is run by students enrolled in the culinary program at BC, its atmosphere, service and food is an ideal model that other restaurants should live by.
The tinted yellow walls and perfectly positioned light fixtures add to the pleasantry of the Renegade Room Restaurant, and the laughter and chatter blended with the light rock music played within the walls contributes to the delightful atmosphere.
Displayed inside the front entrance is a sign, "The Chef is Always Right," that adds humor while balancing the fanciful and casual characteristics of the Renegade Room.
Even though it is students who are at your service, they sport their BC logo well on their black and white uniforms.
Their enthusiasm adds to the pleasantness of the restaurant while their agile attention leaves no room for false impressions.
Not only is the service good, the food is exquisite.
The Chicken Picatta was moist enough to swallow whole, while the tomato with basil soup contained hearty tomato chunks that filled the stomach.
Furthermore, a soda with crushed ice helped to escape the heat of the day.
The restaurant also kept up with an old tradition: a mint to top off the meal.
Regardless of the typical restaurant's portion sizes, the Renegade Room Restaurant appeals to health-conscious people by keeping portion sizes to a minimum.
However, the restaurant also appeals to BC faculty and students who want to escape the campus chaos or those who want to taste the day's dessert.
Anyone can enjoy the Renegade Room Restaurant's atmosphere, service, food, and refreshments.
The restaurant posts the day's menu outside its doors as well as on their Web site.
