Fifteen-year-old Peter Busch is job searching.
In his early years, Busch set his sights on being an astronaut.
Several queasy boat rides later, the ambitious young man was looking elsewhere.
“If there was an earthquake, I’ll probably puke before I die,” the East Bakersfield High junior explained.
But that hasn’t deterred him from his quest to “keep (him)self above the poverty level.”
He stays involved in several activities at school and enjoys working on his computer home by downloading movies and games.
Other activities include soccer and basketball, and while he describes himself as “pretty decent” at swimming, his forte is not in the French class he takes.
His supportive family includes his mom and dad, Kathleen and Richard, and his younger brother, Marc.
“They really try hard to make me get out there and do something,” he said.
With help from his family, Busch plans to attend college and graduate school.
His aims in college include helping him find that elusive career.
“I want to do something in business and make lots of money,” he said.
