All’s well that certainly does end well! The 41st annual Shakespeare Festival at BC has a truly spectacular production in its lineup.
The intimate setup of the black box theater was something that added to the suspension of disbelief within the production. Its closeness to the audience really made everything seem so authentic.
The overall characterization of each character was so beautifully done, and the dialogue spoken was said with so much emotion. Each cast member brought so much life into their role.

The overall mystical, ethereal theming of this rendition brought a nuanced light to this classic play.
This production was stripped back of its original comedic feel, down to its dramatic roots. Showing its intense meaning rather than being covered in humor.
Director Cody Ganger wrote that she “Felt free to abandon the broad comedic moments.” Ganger felt this was a decision that could be made as it was being paired with the “Fabulous and hilarious ‘Much Ado About Nothing’.”
I really enjoyed the scenes that included the Countess. Jess Boles-Lohman portrayed her. I applaud her for the attentiveness she brought to every line of dialogue in her performance.
Overall, I am extremely pleased and impressed with the presentation of this performance. The cast and crew of this show did an outstanding job with the overall production.
