Bakersfield College’s football team continued their loosing ways in 2011 with a 41-19 defeat at the hands of Cerritos College, falling to 3-6.
The Falcons dominated BC in nearly every aspect of the game, and was up 34-13 halfway through the game, putting up over 300 yards of offense in the first 30 minutes.
Starting quarterback Brian Duboski looked shaky the entire game, but managed to keep the team hanging on by a string, until the Falcons scored on a 4-yard keeper by quarterback Brandon Denker with 8:31 left in the fourth quarter.
Duboski finished the game with 115 yards on 11-of-28 passing, slinging two touchdowns passes and two interceptions.
The lack of a running game, that has haunted the Renegades during their current five-game loosing streak, continued, and running back Jalen Sykes, who just three weeks ago boasted a three-game streak of 100 yards on the ground, was held to just 45 yards on seven carries.
BC will head to College of the Canyons next Saturday for the final game of the season in the hopes of finishing on a high note.
