BC beat Fullerton 8-7 in a close race. The starting pitcher for BC was Elliott Radney (31). Fullerton started strong, leading 2-0 with two outs then Nick Martin (2) hit a two-run homerun leading 4-0 after the first inning. BC was getting stopped on offense with quick innings, as no one was getting on base. The same happened to Fullerton as they were stopped by Radney (31). Entering bottom of the third, BC was getting on bases, now loaded as Liam O’Reilly (44) approached the plate, getting a run batting in single to jumpstart a rally.

O’Riley shared “Smash a fast ball… I was trying to see the ball up, the last pitch was the fast ball I wanted.” His approach to get BC on the board worked as they ended the third inning with a 5-4 lead.
Fullerton, now aggressive to take back the lead started getting on base 7, tried tagging third to score but was thrown out by Isaac Torres (23) from right field.
Fullerton’s bats did not slow down and by the end of the fourth it was tied at 5-5. Top of the fifth, Fullerton led 6-5, 44 tried creating a bigger distance in scores attempting to tag from a flyout to right field but was thrown out by Torres (23) closing the inning at 6-5. Entering the bottom, Torres (23) singled, moving Ben Ullyott (17) to third and eventually scoring.
Seventh inning stretch was needed as the game was tied 7-7. Torres (23) got a single and stole extra bases to get in scoring position, Trent Martin (16) hits a ground ball and Fullerton’s third baseman caught the ball and threw it back home, but it was off allowing Torres (23) to score, and BC had the lead 8-7. Bottom of the eighth Dadjael Salcedo (21) got a hit deep center field to the fence but was caught by 7. BC only needed three outs to end the game.

Top of the ninth, closer Kaleb Pinedo (41) was now pitching for BC, with two outs 26 gets a single. Next up 27 had a 3-0 count, worked it up to a full count one more strike to end it. 27 hits a slow roller to 1st baseman O’Reilly (44) and he runs it to the bag himself, calling it game with Renegades getting another home victory. BC’s next home games are Thursday Mar. 13th and Wednesday Mar. 19th, both at 2pm.
