Dear Rip,
I understand that this topic may not be as important as politics, Hurricane Katrina, or The War in Iraq, but I have some quick things to say about pro football players. One football player comes to mind, and his name is Ken Hamlin, now your probably saying Ken who? Yes Ken Hamlin, he plays safety for my favorite team the Seattle Seahawks. Early Monday morning, a couple of hours after the Seahawks 42-10 Sunday Night victory over the Houston Texans, Ken Hamlin decides to take his girl to a night club, good idea right? Wrong, as he is leaving the night club, he taps this guy on the shoulder and says Excuse Me. The guys thinks that Ken is trying to pick a fight with him, so the two men start shoving each other. Suddenly the guys friends start to get invovled, one of them hits Ken in the back of the head, while the other one take a 4 foot road sign and hit Hamlin in the torso. Hamlin is left in major pain, and when the police arrive he tells them that he doesn’t remember anything. My point is Mr. Ken Hamlin should have been at home resting after the game, but instead he had to go off and celebrate with his girl, bad mistake. Mr Hamlin is now in the Harborview Hospital in Seattle, with a brain Fracture, a blood clot, and a fractured hand. I sure hope he is ok.
