When fall arrives, Kirsten Wirth will step in as senior class president at Bakersfield High School.
Her election is one of the proudest moments of her life, which she will look back on years from now.
At age 4, Wirth’s family moved to Bakersfield from Fresno. Now, a senior in high school, she keeps a very positive outlook on everything and loves life no matter what obstacle is thrown her way.
“Don’t worry about yesterday, it’s already passed. Don’t worry about tomorrow, God’s already there. Just focus on today,” she said.
Although she spends a lot of time out of the house, her best friends are her two older brothers.
“My role model is Anthony. He saved up his money and bought a Mustang. He also went to UC Berkeley,” she said with admiration.
Wirth has strong beliefs in her religion and loves to have fun, “I go to church, read, write, play golf, basketball, swim, watch movies and go to the dollar theater.”
Even though she seems like a perfect, upstanding, Christian citizen, she does have her own idiosyncrasies: “When I can’t sleep at night I try to think of everyone in the world and what they are doing.”
