For the past year, Krystin Kirby has found an interest in kickboxing.
“What started out as a mild hobby turned into something I knew I wanted to do. I found a connection to stay involved. Kickboxing pumps you up. It’s a good way to release stress. It’s invigorating.”
During her spare time, she is a busy girl. Kirby, graduate of Centennial High School, has traveled to Canada, Hawaii, Mexico and all over Central America. She loves to write and has been doing it all her life. She also enjoys scrapbooking, training dogs and riding horses.
A child of divorced parents, Kirby lives with her mother. Her brother Jeff lives in Irvine, and her younger brother lives with his dad in Bakersfield.
When she was growing up it was just Mom, Dad and two brothers. “I had a really good childhood,” she said.
Her career interests include becoming a teacher, artist, pilot or architect. She joined the journalism workshop to develop a new skill and techniques.
She said she is very obsessive-compulsive and has crazy habits, such as kissing her hand and hitting the top of the car while driving through yellow lights, or honking while driving her car under a bridge or through a tunnel.
