TY FOR YOUR OPINION OF MY OPINION

UNFORTUNATELY THE YOUNG MAN AND MANY OTHERS ARE NOT HERE TO TESTIFY TO THEIR INNOCENCE

MY PERSONAL OPINION IS NOT IN OPPOSITION TO THE BPD

ONE VET OFFICER HIT THE MAN WITH BEAN BAGS

IT WAS THE YOUNGER AND INEXPERIENCED OFFICERS WHO SHOT

    TO KILL

    AN UNARMED MAN

NOTHING IS JUSTIFIABLE IN THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES

I FEEL THAT POLICE SHOULD TRY TO ARREST MORE THAN KILL, PERIOD

THERE ARE MANY GOOD COPS OUT THERE
AND IT IS TRAGIC WHEN ONE LOSES THEIR LIFE

    BUT LOOK UP YOUR FACTS

MORE COPS KILL THAN ARE KILLED

AND MORE COPS GET AWAY WITH THE MURDER BC OF PPL AS YOURSELF

IF THIS WAS YOUR SON, BROTHER OR NEPHEW … WOULD YOU FEEL DIFFERENT?

Villegas ran from the police for a reason, so obviously he either had something to hide, or was up to no good. Also like you stated in your article, no one knows the exact event that happened. With that said, I do not think it’s right to immediately start criticizing the actions of Bakersfield Police Department. How do we know that there wasn’t an immediate threat to the officers on scene that made them use lethal force on the suspect? Police officers are given fractions of a second to make a decision of life and death that will be later investigated for months or longer. These officers have families that they want to go home to. It is not hard at all to NOT attract police attention. Just be a decent human being and follow the law? Simple. Everyone is so quick to act like they understand how use of force works. Why should an officer respond with non lethal force to a potentially lethal threat? I am not saying all police are perfect and only want justice. That’s why we have the freedom to record police action and file complaints if there is wrong doing. It is wrong to judge a situation you’ve never been in. Take into account both sides of the story before assuming. Take a look at this link, an anti police protestor goes through use of force training at a police academy and realizes that it really isn’t that easy: http://www.policeone.com/use-of-force/articles/8097484-Video-Anti-police-protester-undergoes-use-of-force-scenario-training/
