ADVERTISING INFORMATION

The Rip is Bakersfield College’s award-winning student newspaper publication. At the 2020 Associated Collegiate Press Midwinter Conference in San Francisco, the Renegade Rip was awarded First Place website for two-year colleges.

We offer great online ad rates: $100/month for ads sized 300×250 pixels. If there is interest, we can upgrade the website to providing a banner ad at $200 per month.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, print circulation will be 500 per issue.

The paper will be printed in all color on 100-pound magazine quality paper on 8.5″ width X 11″ height (live space will be reduced by ½ inch all around). All pages are color. (See sample photo below)

Color ads can be purchased as follows:

⅛ page (2″ by 2.625″) for  $25

¼ page (4″ by 5.25″)  $50

½ page (horizontal — 8″ by 5.25″; or vertical — 4″ by 10.5) for $100

full page (8″ W by 10.5″H) for $200

Publication dates for fall 2023 are set for: Wednesdays: September 6, September 20,  October 4, October 18, November 1, and November 22. 

Artwork for ads should be submitted by the Friday before each publication date listed above.
