The annual Kern County will be starting up again this year on Sept. 20. Pricing for tickets will be $12 at the door and $9 online for children under 12 $5.  Wristbands are going to be $35 Mon-Thurs and $40 Friday- Saturday. Tickets and wrist bands will also be sold at Sully’s locations for $10 an adult, children $4 and wristbands $33.

The fair comes once a year to Bakersfield, offering fried foods, desserts, rides and games with the chance of winning big prizes.

The fair is inclusive for both adults and children, children have an entire area of rides that are age appropriate. Children also have a free attraction opening for them called the “The Magic Bean”, an agricultural magic show.

Farm animals and a butterfly atrium are just some of the exciting activities at the fair that can be for both adults and children. The fair will still be having all their traditional big rides such as, Fireball, Zipper and the Ferris Wheel.

Chelsey Roberts the facility’s marketing and media person for the fair says from her experience of working at the fair the Ferris wheel is the most popular ride at the fair no matter how old or how young they are. “The most popular ride is the Ferris Wheel. No matter if you are young or old, the Ferris Wheel is one of those traditional carnival rides that everyone wants to do during the Fair.”

The fair will also have attractions like concerts, rodeos, and concerts, these are the top 3 attractions of the fair.

From Chelsey Roberts opinion the busiest days of the fair are Fridays and Saturdays. There are going to be 12 nights of free concerts located at the Budweiser Pavilion, that will be all different genres of music and eras.

Opening night of the fair Country legend Rodney Atkins will be putting on a performance. The lineup for all performances this year are found on this link below.
