The Jazz Band students prepare for their first performance of the night as the seats in the audience fill up.

The Jazz concert opened with a generous introduction to the jazz members, and they started out strong.

The nice indoor venue complimented the sound of the instruments, and their presentation was also very clean.

On Monday, Nov. 13 from 7:00-9:30pm they presented their Fall Jazz Concert 2023, prices ranging from $12 for general admission to $8 dollars for students.

Every Jazz member brought out their best on the stage, from upright bass spectacularly played by Mason Heath to the angelic vocals from Flor Flores.

This Jazz concert was a musical night, and even the crowd was enthusiastic about the performance.

The poster made for this harmonious event was designed by one of the BC Art Students, Kierin King. The Jazz band even debuted a CD with their music on it. It was stated that the design on the CD’s packaging was designed by one of the Graphic Design students here at BC.

They ended their performance with a fun and bright, and “spicy” song called “Noche Del Burrito Picante.”

It was an interesting ending, showcasing the aftermath of eating a spicy burrito through music without the stinky smell.

This Latin inspired piece was just one out of a complete trilogy that the band may perform in the future, but nothing more on that was uncovered at the event.

As a whole, it was an entertaining experience, and those who missed out, really missed out on a great event performed by our very own Jazz Band students.
