The Renegade Rip student newspaper had their papers removed from the racks in approximately five buildings on Oct. 8. The case is currently under investigation by Public Safety. Rip personnel were sent to refill racks and investigate the situation.
Racks from the Grace Van Dyke Bird Library, Humanities building, Student Services, Business building, and Bookstore were all emptied with a grand total of approximately 1,800 copies. This also includes 1,000 dollars worth of published issues in which the suspect may be accountable for.
The Rip puts issues on racks by 9 a.m. every-other Wednesday depending on the week. The Rip will continue to publish papers and the Rip number four will have the update story on Oct. 22. For further reading go to Bakersfield.com.
