The Rippaverse: A New Competitor in the Comic Industry

If you are a comic book fan or interested in comics at all, then you should check out “Rippaverse Comics.”

Despite the company’s recent start, they have managed to rake in millions of dollars through their campaigns. They have already released 2 comics with the 3rd one being available for pre-order right now with shipping on Dec. 3.

This company was founded by longtime comic book fan and YouTuber Eric July, also known by his online username “YoungRippa59.” He has made countless videos discussing comic books as a whole and his criticisms of them. After seeing the current state of the comic book industry and its decline in overall sales he decided that he should do something about it. He saw all the problems in comics and the fact that they were not being properly addressed. So, he took a significant risk and decided to address them himself.

This venture first fully began back in July of last year with his debut comic, “Isom #1.” That first campaign sold about $3.5 million. His fans and supporters certainly showed their loyalty and have not stopped since. The sequel “Isom #2” came out this past summer and garnered over $2 million. He is giving comic fans what they have wanted for a long time that they were not getting from mainstream companies like Marvel and DC.

It’s not just him authoring these books either, he has hired experienced and well-known writers to come write books under the Rippaverse banner. For example, he has hired former Marvel and DC writer Chuck Dixon to write the company’s overall third book, “Alphacore #1.” He has also brought on the Soska Sisters, who have written for Marvel in the past, to write “Yaira #1,” based on the character introduced in “Isom.”

Eric July prides Rippaverse Comics on being an alternative to mainstream comics and giving people something different and exciting. Whether you are a longtime comic book fan or it’s your first foray into this medium, I think you will find the product to be most entertaining.

You can check out what they have to offer at Rippaverse.com.
