Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis star as two married men attempting to play the field after being given permission from their wives in “Hall Pass.”
It all starts when Rick (Owen Wilson) and his best friend Fred (Jason Sudeikus) are having a conversation about how their dreams have been shattered, but all their wives dreams have come true. Sick and tired of their husbands attitudes and constant gawking at other women, Maggie (Jenna Fischer) and Grace (Christina Applegate) decide to give their husbands a “hall pass,” which allows them the freedom to do anything they want without any consequences for one week.
The whole week is pretty much wasted on trying to figure out where and how to pick up chicks as these bumbling, over the hill men with absolutely zero swagger, screw up every chance that comes their way.
On the flip side, Grace and Maggie are living it up at the beach on Cape Cod while mixing it up with two young stud baseball players.
Wilson’s performance was nothing at all like “Wedding Crashers,” is character lacked the Owen Wilson charisma and Sudeikis, who the hell is he?
The Farrelly brothers really came through with a half ass attempt to one up, “There’s something about Mary” and failed horrendously. “Hall Pass” was very disappointing and obviously a desperate attempt to rake in some quick cash with mildly funny commercials.
