K-pop sensation ENHYPEN has returned with their fifth mini album “Orange Blood.”

This release comes right off the back of “Dark Blood” and the US leg of the FATE world tour. “Orange Blood” as the title implies, is a brighter sound compared to “Dark Blood”.

“Orange Blood” has sold 1,383,292 copies on its first day alone, breaking ENHYPEN’s own record of 1,322,516 first day album sales for “Dark Blood” (Hanteo Charts).

The albums opener, “Mortal,” features spoken word verses in Korean, Japanese and English.

The track is an emotional, heartfelt song to which ENHYPEN expresses to ENGENE (fandom name) the need to stay in the moment and enjoy life to its fullest, because we aren’t promised tomorrow.

The title track, “Sweet Venom” is a high energy song with a catchy melody and great vocal performances. The base line is addictive.

Heeseung’s vocal delivery really stood out. The music video makes the song even better, with strong choreography and Michael Jackson inspired outfits.

There is a full English version of the song available on the album as well as a version of the song featuring TikTok star Bella Poarch, which is exclusively on digital streaming platforms.

Poarch’s verse, although short, is a nice addition. Her voice fits the song well and doesn’t sound out of place. 멀어 (Blind) is a catchy song with, once again, strong vocal delivery.

NI-KI has such an interesting color to his voice. He sounds great on this track. “Orange Flower (You Complete Me) is a sweet love song with a nice atmosphere. In all, ENHYPEN shows a new side of themselves in “Orange Blood.”
