The Renegade golf team placed fifth at the Larry Carr Invitational tournament, which was hosted by BC. 17 different teams competed amongst each other as the Renegades shot a team score of 381. Fresno City College won the tournament by shooting 24 swings under BC at 365. Chris Baden of BC placed second in individual competition as he shot a par with a score of 72. Baden and the rest of the Renegades will travel to Visalia for a competition on Friday.
Softball
The Lady Renegades lost their first game of the season to El Camino on February 3 by a score of 10-4. The Lady Gades trailed from the first inning on. Jenny Zavolosieck was the losing pitcher for the Lady Gades and threw two walks and one strike out. BC had a total of seven hits and four errors. Leading the team in hitting so far this season is Roxy Reeves as she is batting .500. She has scored one run, one RBI, one double and has a 1.000 fielding percentage. The team will travel to Irvine this weekend for the Green and Gold Tournament.
Men’s tennis
The men’s tennis team won their first match of the season against Cerrito’s February 1st with an overall score of 6-1. They play Fresno City College this Thursday at 2 pm.
Women’s tennis
The Renegades tennis team received their first loss of the season via College of Sequoias. It was a close match that saw the Lady Gades loosing by a mere point, with a score of 4-5.
