The Renegades came back late against Mt. SAC to win game 1 of round 2 of the regional playoffs on May 13.

Mt. SAC struck first in the 1st inning, but BC tied it in the 2nd on an error and took the lead in the 4th when left fielder Shelby Buchanan hit a 2-run home run to make it 3-1. Later in the bottom of the 4th, Mt. SAC took the lead back due to a single that scored the runners on second and third and a throwing error allowed the first base runner to score as well.

With the game on the line in the top of the 7th, shortstop Shelbie Valencia singled to drive in pinch runner Kristen Burgeis to tie the game. Right fielder Nivea Rader then singled to drive in Valencia and centerfielder Kylie Havens. Finally, third baseman Marissa Campos hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score second baseman Rylee Price from third to take a 7-4 lead, which the Renegades were able to hold on to to take game 1 of the series.

Game 2 of the 2nd round will take place on May 14 at 2 p.m., with the Renegades looking to close out the series to advance once more.
