At 10:58 a.m. on Feb. 3 students and faculty of Bakersfield College were sent an emergency lockdown notification for the BC Panorama campus. 

This lockdown is out of an abundance of caution following a reported threat. Students and faculty on campus should shelter in place.

Campus access is suspended and all classes today (⅔) are cancelled.

Students, staff and faculty are advised to follow instructions from campus officials and law enforcement. 

This lockdown comes as the CSU Bakersfield and Bakersfield College Southwest campuses were placed on lockdown yesterday afternoon. 

“We will share updates as soon as more information becomes available” writes Britton Lee, Director of Public Relations. 

Update: As of 2:30 p.m. the campus has been cleared and will resume normally as of Wednesday Feb. 4.
