This week of sports brought out the best in some teams and worse in others. Tempers flared and top teams crumbled.

The pressure was on for the eight remaining NFL teams in the playoffs. Starting on Saturday afternoon in Kansas City between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs had a scare when quarterback Patrick Mahomes went down with an ankle injury, but the Chiefs still found a way to win 27-20.

Saturday Night’s game was between division rivals New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles made quick work of the Giants and didn’t break a sweat to a 38-7 thrashing victory.

The Sunday afternoon game was a winter wonderland in Buffalo between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills. The Bengals started out of the gates hot and did not stop while the Bills offense was stagnant for the entire game. The Bengals cruised to a 27-10 victory.

The final game of the weekend was between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys 2 turnovers were enough to send the 49ers into the next round in the playoffs as the 49ers won 19-12.

Next week’s AFC Championship game is between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFC Championship game will be between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the NBA, tempers flared Friday night between Fox Sports Analyst Shannon Sharpe and a few of the Memphis Grizzlies players. Sharpe had to be escorted off the court at halftime. He returned to his seat at the beginning of the third quarter.

The top team in the nation in College Basketball lost Sunday afternoon as the Temple Owls pulled off a stunner against the top ranked Houston Cougars 56-55.

One of the most impressive teams this week were the Kansas St Wildcats as they defeated the #2 ranked Kansas Jayhawks in overtime on Tuesday and then rallied to defeat the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday.

One of the teams that took a tumble this week were the Kansas Jayhawks who were ranked #2 this week. They lost a close one to Kansas St but then on Saturday got demolished by the TCU Horned Frogs 83-60.
