The Bakersfield College Women’s Basketball team hosted their final home Western State Conference game against West LA College at Gil Bishop Sports Center on Feb. 16, with a loss of 53-45.

Due to the last home game of the regular season, five sophomores were honored and recognized for their last home game appearance; #3 Jasmyn Rodriguez, #14 Tyana Jasper, #21 Victoria Trevino, #24 Brianna Mendez, and #30 Aubrey Stone. 

West LA opened the game with a 10-0 lead, but BC came through by the half, 22-18. 

The Renegades opened the third quarter by one-point lead, 26-25, but West LA took the home victory from the Renegades.

Mendez led the team by scoring 11 points, Rodriguez scored 10 points, and Dasia Wandick scored nine. 

After this loss, BC drops to an 8-16 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
