Men’s Basketball loses to LA Valley Monarchs

After a slow start to the game, the Renegades were able to go on an 8-0 scoring run. After the scoring run, the Monarchs were able to close the gap, but the Gades kept pulling away, keeping their score up by 10.

10 minutes into the half, the Gades were in foul trouble entering the bonus causing the Monarchs to get as close as four points. Despite their foul trouble, BC connected their shots from beyond the arc to gain the biggest lead of the night of 13.

The Renegades dominated from behind the three-point line making six threes within the half to help control their lead. They ended the half with a score of 34-24.

LA Valley started their foul trouble early with four fouls in the first three minutes of the second half. BC was able to maintain the lead till the Monarchs tied and took over with 12 minutes remaining. Since then, BC was not able to regain control.

As the Monarchs lead for the first time, they were able to pull away with their biggest lead of seven points. BC continued to fight as the time on the clock expired. They were able to get within two points with four seconds remaining, but fell short as LA Valley knocked down two free throws to seal the game.

Tyrell Coleman (4) led the Renegades with 18 points. Vince Damelio (3) was close behind with 15 points with the majority of his shots coming from three-point range.

The Renegades dropped 15-12 overall and 3-10 in the conference with the loss to the LA Valley Monarchs.
