Although the main goal of BC is to create the academic success of students and to make them feel as though they are connected and heard throughout their time at Bakersfield College. Each event held on campus serves a purpose for students that caters towards students’ desires or needs.
Each event is orchestrated for students, such as coffee and doughnuts events for early riser students and even trunk or treats on Halloween for students with young ones.
Students make these events possible either by just attending or even helping organize them. Leonardo Ayala along with many other staff work with many different departments on campus and many students ran organizations to make these events possible.
“It is important that I partner with departments who may know best know the needs of students, so we can partner cater towards them, so they feel welcome and connected” added Ayala.
