BC Baseball teams suffers loss against the Giants

The Renegades’ baseball team lost against College of Sequoias Giants, 4-2, on Feb. 11.

The Giants quickly got on the board making one run during the top of the first inning. BC sophomore Hunter Adams (5) scored a run in the second inning followed by BC freshman Jose Ruiz (12). Early in the third inning, the Giants scored two more runs making the score 3-2.

Renegades’ pitcher, freshman Roman Rubio (36), started the game pitching for the first five innings. Many batters advanced to first with a few wild pitches, but none made it to second base. BC made a pitching change during the top of the sixth inning making it difficult for the Giants to make a single run.

BC’s defense maintained the score of 3-2 until the top of the eighth inning. The Renegades’ pitcher threw many wild pitches allowing the Giants to score a run also making the bases full. The Giants quickly got three outs before another run would be made. BC was not able to successfully make another run leaving the Giants undefeated.

The standing record for BC’s baseball team is 3-7.
