The men’s basketball team fell to Citrus College for the second time this year on Feb. 2 with a final score of 70-59.

The Gades seemed to struggle with getting to the rim and knocking down shots. Citrus didn’t shoot the ball very well either but did manage to score 39 points to BC 20 total points in the first half.

The Owls were able to pull away the first half mainly due to the team’s defensive attack, which really seemed to affect the Gades committing a total of 29 turnovers for the entire game.

According to BC basketball coach Chavez “they got really good players and hit high-level shots and our guys are just tired playing three straight games.”

Although BC Shot 14-28 FG & 3-9 from three in the second half BC hopes of a comeback were cut short due to Citrus dominance defensively and attacking the paint. Citrus found a way to close out the game.

The Owls also were just able to sh6oot and make more free throws, Leonard Turner from Citrus led the team with 9/10 free throws with the team shooting 21/31 to BC 7/25. The Glades are looking for a win on their next upcoming game.
