Review: Upgraded

Upgraded+released+on+Feb.+9+2024+on+Prime+Video
“Upgraded” released on Feb. 9 2024 on Prime Video

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, Amazon Prime Video premiered its new romantic comedy called Upgraded on February 9, 2024, starring Camila Mendes and Archie Renaux.

Ana Santos (Camila Mendes) and William (Archie Renaux) are the protagonists of this new Amazon Prime romantic comedy called Upgraded.

Although it is a movie that is romantic, it focuses on a woman who believes she can achieve anything that she puts her mind to.

Ana Santos started living in an apartment that only had one room and was exceedingly small for three people to live in, plus a couple.

The most important theme about this movie is that it shows that there is nothing you cannot do, and with a lot of perseverance self-improvement is possible, even if lost like Ana there is always a solution.

Also shown when a mistake is made, the best way to correct the mistake is to speak the truth instead of covering it with another lie, if not then everything will grow until finally reaching a meltdown, which Ana Santos was able to correct when her lie was discovered.

The main theme of the movie is that when something bad happens there is always a solution, when something bad happens you just must look for the solution and everything will be fine.

It is a film that shows how we all start from the bottom and that with a little perseverance we can obtain and reach that goal that we want, and along the way obtain other things that we didn’t even know we needed.

It is a film about the journey of self-discovery and transformation being in line with ones’ ambitions. And although many films of this type have been made and has been done countless of times leading to a similar result, it has a twist. But while Upgraded treads very familiar genre territory, it does it extremely well, and it doesn’t do it in the typical romance movie way.
